Jake Friel is a young artist with songwriting and performance abilities far ahead of his years. At just 23 years old, Jake has been playing live on stage for almost 15 years. The last 10 of those years touring the USA as well as internationally. He has shared the stage and studio with many of the world's best Blues performers including John Nemeth, Reese Wynans, Anson Funderburgh, Billy Boy Arnold, R.L. Boyces, Tony Holiday and many others.
Jake is considered by many as one of the great up and coming singers and harmonica players in the Blues Music scene. His versatile live show can and has been utilized in nearly every type of live scenario from large outdoor music festivals to small intimate listening rooms.
Growing up in Canton, Ohio in the early 2000's gave Jake huge musical inspiration from artist like Dan Auerbach and Patrick Sweany who are also from the area. The first Album he ever bought was Rubber Factory by The Black Keys who are from neighboring Akron, Ohio.
For 10 years, Jake has been endorsed by Seydel Harmonicas, the world's oldest harmonica manufacturer. Seydel's legendary roster includes lifetime Blues Legend, Charlie Musslewhite and the late, great James Cotton.
Jake's love and passion for musical performance is obvious to anyone who has seen him perform live.. With a new album in the works for 2020 the future looks bright for the young traveler.
